Pasta

Food

I would be remiss if I did not have my first food blog on something I absolutely love….

Pasta!!

I’m not gonna write a whole sap story about this recipe. I will just say that this recipe is super awesome because once everything is done, the flavors are ssooooo aammaazziinnggggg that you don’t even need to add cheese to it! I wouldn’t say it is a vegan recipe because I’m not sure if the pasta has eggs in it, but less dairy is a good thing!

Ingredients:

-Pasta

-Favorite pasta sauce

-Veggie meat (or regular meat if you’re not vegetarian)

-Onion

-Garlic

-Black pepper

-Garlic salt

-Thyme

-Paprika

-Oregano

-McKay’s Chicken flavor seasoning

So the major punch of flavor will be from the sauteed onion and garlic, and then the second bout of flavor from the spices/herbs of course.

Directions:

Start with the sauce so that it can simmer on low while the pasta cooks.

    1. Sautee onion and protein

  8. Bring sauce to a very low simmer, stir occasionally, with very low heat it should not be splattering (tomato sauce likes to do that…ugh).
  9. While sauce is simmering, cook the pasta!

  11. Pour most of the sauce in with the pasta. I like to leave some extra in the pan because when the pasta is hot, it absorbs a lot of the sauce and can be a little dry. I add extra sauce from the leftover once I have put the food in a bowl for myself so get that nice saucy, cozy feel of a warm bowl of pasta.

  13. If you want, you can sprinkle parmesan or pecorino romano cheese on top, but honestly this dish is so rich and hearty that the flavors are complete. Sometimes adding cheese ruins the balance of the flavors. But, to each their own!
